Troop Meeting February 9th

Today both the SPL Elections were held and the OA tap out ceremony took place. Aiden will be our next SPL (again)! In regards to the OA tap out, Michael 1.0, Westby Slade, and Peter Smith were all selected scouts. Mr. Edwards was the selected adult this year. We also recognized last years' scouts and adults. Aiden Dinehart, John Dinehart, and Eddie Carter were the three scouts chosen. Mr. Brown and Mrs. Smith were the adults chosen last year. Soon,  a new leadership positions will be chosen (unfortunately, that means that I can't be the webmaster any longer)! Make sure not to come to the meeting next week, because there will be no meeting during the winter break.

Troop Meeting February 2

Today the troop cast their votes on who should be elected into the Order of the Arrow. After that, Aidan Dinehart and Andre Edwards gave their SPL speeches. Next week is the OA tap out!

Troop Meeting January 26

Tonight we had two wonderful presentations led by the senior patrols on safety afloat and packing. After awarding Westby a multi-colored bead for a broken collarbone, the Alpha Wolves were rewarded with best behavior.

The Falcons had the most people present, but the Burning Arrows had their whole patrol present.

Troop Meeting January 9th

Today we finished our activities explaining winter camping. Tonight's game taught everyone what the 10 essentials were in the form of a relay race. In theory, everyone will be a professional winter camper.

Troop Meeting January 12th

Today we had Aidan and Chris give us a great presentation on cold weather safety (what to wear, etc.)! After that, we decided on what would be eaten during the Blood Mountain backpacking trip.

Troop Meeting January 5th (2016!)

Today was the first troop meeting of 2016! Hooray! In preparation for this month's upcoming campout, Aiden, Mason, and Jeremy led a presentation on cold weather safety. At the end of the meeting, there was a raffle. Westby Slade won a tee-shirt with the old design!

Troop Meeting December 1st

Today, Aiden led the troop in a first aid-and-other-safety demonstration. While everyone learned more about safety, some adults held six board of reviews tonight! Finally, greenery was handed out to all who sold during the fundraiser.

Today we introduced Cast Iron Chef to the three visiting Webelos. They received a food log and they planned a meal for the up coming McIntosh campout.

Tonight the troop went over the upcoming camping trips by preparing the menu (for Beech Bottom) and pack-checks (also for Beech Bottom). Those who were not going on Beech Bottom did a Troop Mobilization activity.

Troop Meeting October 6th

    Tonight we went over preparations for Webelos visiting the troop next week (make sure to come early next week!!). Every patrol was responsible for creating a menu, which they would cook next week. The Webelos had to be included in the cooking process. We finished the meeting by practicing our "Game with a Purpose."

    We had a great presentation today on Outdoor Ethics with the Slades, and a fun "game-with-a-purpose" on the ten essentials!

    We had a good turnout once again, with 20 scouts present. The Falcons and Griffins tied for most scouts present.
